Creasing Matrix Manual Cutter of Die-Making Industry Model: AL-211
As one of the basic tools in the die cutting industry, manual matrix cutters have the following characteristics in actual die cutting applications:
- The matrix cutter is equipped with a precise scale that can cut matrix ranging from 10 to 500 mm in length with an accuracy of ±0.03 mm.
- The cutting angle is formed in a single step, precisely aligned with the die steel rule angle. It is eliminating the need for additional trimming. The cut is smooth and free of burrs.
- Both length and height can be cut and formed in one cut, which greatly improves the cutting efficiency of the matrix. Compared with manual cutting with scissors, efficiency is improved by more than 3 times.
- The matrix cutter body is made from selected alloy materials processed using a CNC center, while most other suppliers still use cast iron materials. Our alloy material bodies are not only sturdy and durable, but also resistant to corrosion, deformation, and rust.

New Die-Making Manual Tools
Why is the matrix manual cutter so important in die making?
As is well known, the creasing line process in the die-making industry is primarily achieved using creasing steel rule or creasing matrix. Nowadays creasing matrix offer several unique advantages that make them more widely used than creasing steel rules. As a result, manual tools for cutting creasing matrix have become indispensable in the daily die-making process. Below are some of the unique advantages and characteristics of Self-adhesive creasing matrix:
- Protecting the die-cutting substrate (plywood board): This is a significant advantage of creasing adhesive matrix over creasing steel rules . Creasing steel rule are embedded in the plywood board. During die-cutting, the creasing line repeatedly and forcefully impact the wooden board, which can cause the board to crack, wear out, or even break at the creasing line, thereby shortening the board’s service life. In contrast, creasing adhesive matrix are adhered to the surface of the wooden board. The polyurethane material has excellent elasticity and cushioning properties, absorbing part of the impact force during die-cut punching. It is significantly reducing direct impact and damage to the wooden board. According to our data, die cutting board using creasing matrix’s lifespan is 2-3 times longer than those using creasing steel rules.
- Noise reduction: The elasticity of polyurethane material is softer than creasing line that of metal, resulting in less noise during die-cutting machine punching.
- Easy to replace and install: Adhesive-type matrix installation is faster and more flexible than embedding steel creasing line into slots on the wood die board. When the creasing lines on the die board are damaged and needs to be replaced, the self-adhesive creasing matrix is also very easy to replace and repair.
